As The Climate Institute celebrated 10 years of operation and looked back at all we have achieved, we felt it was a pertinent point in our history to review how we measure and communicate what we do and the impact we have.
We engaged impact measurement specialists, The Incus Group, to assist us with this project which has involved interviews with over 30 stakeholders as well as an in-depth review of our work to date. The result is a new framework and set of metrics which we will report against.
The framework depicts the four key areas where our work directly creates change,
and catalyses further action by multiple stakeholders to achieve our vision.
The four key areas are:
- Facilitating better climate change outcomes for businesses and the state
- Advancing climate change solutions
- Supporting organisations to address climate change issues
- Facilitating a collaborative and active climate change network
The Climate Institute will measure impact using this framework every 18 months or so, starting mid 2017.
