The next major meeting of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the Kyoto Protocol will begin in Doha, Qatar, in late November 2012. This will again focus international attention on the action countries are taking individually and collectively to avoid dangerous climate change.
Doha, if successful, will streamline three negotiating tracks into one and focus governments on achieving a new legally binding agreement in 2015.
